Final lecture - open source and SaaS extra session if final is not postponed
May 09

The final exam is currently scheduled for Tuesday, May 12th 2009 from 10am to 1pm. There is coffee break after the first 30 minutes and high tea after the first 2 hours. Unlike the first 2 mid-terms, we will be visited by our beloved controller.

Exam topics:

The topic was updated on Saturday, May 9th. You can access the word version of the final and PDF version from E-Commerce lectures page.

Reference material:

Updated Sunday 1pm: Reference material for hourly1, hourly 2 and material for last leg has been combined as single reference-reading-final. Some of the reading material for hourly 1 & 2 has been removed which lots of new material for hourly3.

Tips:

I have found following techniques useful:

  1. Bring candies to the exam, or even raw sugar. A sugar boost can improve your thinking
  2. Bring caffeine - for me, the best option was Mountain Dew
  3. Wear clothing that will help you feel comfortable. At shabby and hot IBA classrooms, that means as little clothing as possible. In US classroom, it usually meant taking a light jacket

The URL for SEO (first reference reading for session 3) is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_optimization

Just finished preparing the final. About 60% of it is coming from the third session and 40% from the first 2 sessions.

The first 2 midterms were 8 pages each. By that definition, final could have been 16 pages. However it is only 13 pages long. What does this mean for you? Less writing for one.

This also means you will get a lot more time to think about each of the question as compared to first 2 midterms. Which means I expect better, more thoughtful answers.

Section A is worth 60 points in 60 minutes and section B worth 120 points for the remaining 2 hours.

Sir, the reference material for finals also contains SLA reading material, which is not coming in finals??

Exam is now on 16th May, 2009 (just called IBA)

@ Sumbul - good observation. There is no SLA in final.
