Just wanted to ask if you have heard about a company called Credit Chex (http://www.credit-chex.com/)
Its a risk management solutions provider to banks and other financial institutions. Sir, their CEO is coming to IBA as a guest speaker to the Artificial Intelligence class being taken by Dr. Sajjad Haider.
Dr. Sajjad is one of my fav. teachers around, he took Decision Support Systems last semester, and atleast i (infact most of the others) had a great time. Dr. Sajjad told me he showed some of our Term Projects for DSS course to Mr. Nauman Sheikh (CEO Credit Chex), and Mr. Nauman found them very excited and that he intended to hire some of these students as internee (during summer) or full-time employees (if possible) next year.
So, my question to you is this: I am into MIS and Finance (these are 2 of my favorite areas), considering that most people around me would want to jump into an MNC or a large reputed firm to say the least, how would or should i see this company credit chex as a place to intern, and possibly work later on, as a place to start my career with.
Since you’ve been to the top schools around, and have worked in both Large and medium-small firms i thought may be you could help me out on this one.

ABOUT THE DOMAIN:
Data and credit bureaus are one of the best ‘domains’ to apply your MIS and Finance knowledge.
They have not been very successful in Pakistan due to many reason
1. Very small market for consumer credit
2. Lack of data sharing by financial institutes
3. Lack of ‘good’ policies on cybercrime which relate to protection of data for consumers and businesses
4. Presence of CIB by SBP (an alternate mini credit bureau)
5. etc etc
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Sajjad is a good professor; credit-chex is a start-up but they are a partner of
Experian, the world’s best company in this area. Credit-chex is also a Jahangir Siddiqui company.
Nauman, a friend of mine, is also a great mentor for anyone starting out or with 10 years of experience
I would say go for it (but do think/share about alternate options for internship)
